Lullaby and good night,
baby close your eyes
and I'll find you in the morning light.
I'll see your sweet smile
and hear your precious coo.
I'll pretend that we'll have longer
than just the 2 days I get with you.
Your little body fits so perfectly into the crook of my arm,
your soft breath brings me to tears
but lulls me to sleep where in our dreams
we'll stay safe from harm.
I've fought for you this long
and I'll continue to do the same.
You've got me so wrapped around that finger
that you get away with anything by just saying my name.
I love you, little girl,
and I promise I always will.
You're my baby pie, my soldier,
and you deserve the world.

What a beautiful poem for Natalie
It is unfair that you only get her every other weekend but it is obvious how much you love and care for her
Best of Luck in the Contest

Stay safe

I'm not sure why you only get two days with your baby unless you've given it up for adoption but I like the sentiments of the poem and your reaction to your sweetie pie.

She's not my baby by birth but I half raised her until she was a year old, so I get her every other weekend. Thank you for your comment
