Go

I begged her not to go
but she said she had to

Tears streaming down my flushed cheeks
my heart racing
and my hands shaking

I tried to reason with her
but it was all in vain
her jaw set
and her heart determined

A long silence fell between us
like a wall blocking her from me
Our eyes were locked
our hands clasped so tight

She left so quickly
I wondered if there was time
time to change her mind
I tried
I begged
I pleaded

I watched her go
through glistening tears
and through my silent torment
I prayed for her return

Moving, a good dramatic rhytm... You express what many do but this time it feels real, it's got body and it is a rather beautiful piece. I like the simple language, that way it feels more earnest.
