My favorite time of year is here again,
A time of joy and family.
No matter where I am this time of year,
Loved ones always surround me.
A time of year of laughter and sharing,
Looking back on our best days.
Times when all we had was enough,
And we were blessed in so many ways.
It's a time for thinking of others first,
And giving, straight from the heart.
For love and laughter with family,
Who for almost a year have been apart.
This is the time of year that Jesus came,
And he is who really means the most to me.
If it weren't for God, I wouldn't still be alive,
Nor would I have some of these loved ones with me.
So, for me Christmas is a time of magic,
Of knowing how good of a life is mine.
When all my loved ones are more dear to me,
And the christmas stars most brightly shine.

i really like this last stanza, i am currently having a bad christmas day because everyone is rushing around trying ot make things perfect, but i think this stanza just shows what i think, you only need the ones you love with you to make it a good happy christmas, alot of people lose touch with that when they start wanting everything to be so perfect...
