in the early hours of the morning
I sit between yesterday and tomorrow;
waiting for the darkness to make itself known
in the morning light that never sprouts --
until we've accepted dusk
and opened our arms to dawn
this is the changing of time,
this is how life goes on

The first two lines of this poem create such a perfect visual image and the rest of the work goes on to develop this metaphor. It is amazing how much you are able to convey in these few words. Brevity at its best. Thank you for your entry. Peace, Liz
