Remember when we were young
Everything seemed so simple
Mum and dad were so important.
Eventually things changed
Memories of our childhood slowly faded away,
But possibly for the right reasons
Every speckle of hope dashed from our grip
Realising things would never be the same
Worries of the future, taint every move we make
Hoping that we don't end up the same way
Endevouring to succeed in life
Never knowing what will be.

Nice job on this acrostic. I like them but have a difficult time with them. You did well with the prompt.

This one is sop sad...I sense some kind of reflection here...
Maybe something that hurt you?
It's all so true!
Like everything was fine, then changed,. and although you're old enough to realize it was all for the right reasons, it still doesn't take that sting away.
It still burns.
I hope your future does not remain tainted, that you get the closure to move on...It's true you don't know what will happen, but sometimes that's the beauty of living! New experiences, and everything to learn.
Great write here, it felt like it came from the heart.
