What the heck we are about half way now.
Tighten those belts up, give it a little more umph.
Sure things have been tighter.
We all had mouths to feed.
This is the time for sharing.
A little barter-ing is not a new thing.
Turn all those frowns with to smile.
So we do a little less fancy dress.
Be a little more relaxed.
Party at your house, with the family.
Sing with everyone around the Christmas tree.
Think of others in deeds for lavish.
Things change from year to year.
You are not the only one who has it rough.
You have the warmth of your house frame.
Your health is still good with you.
So the kids live with you now, this is nothing new.
Think of the joy when the New Year rolls in .
You can grab and kiss each and everyone.
When you break bread at noon like a big family.
God will know you are save and all there.
These are your riches beyond compare.

A positive attitude can only take you so far.
Thanks for entering. -
These sort of cliche harangue makes me really sick. What if you had just checked your fridge and realized that you only had seven days worth of food left, but you have at least ten to twelve days before your husband gets his first unemployment check? Sure, there are food pantries, but you don't have the gas to drive to them. Bartering? Exactly what is there to barter with, and with who? How exactly is the nonsense spouted here supposed to help?

We all have our problems, cutting on another I am sure isn't gooing to help
I di know there are churches and org. that will help. i hve family who are having it hard and all I do to keep the on track, and send them money. I don't turn a clod shoulder to any one, I never have. There is the American Legion ,Masons just keep going till you find someone who will help. Many places are glad to help. There are a lot of people and this does not include you in no way. But there are con artist out there who make it hard for people like you to get help. I am sorry for this fact and I wish you the best. I know this dosen' t make things any better..All we can do is say prayers for those who are truely in need sauc as yourself. Take car as as I said God bless youand may things get better for you and your family...mac -

Amen mac. I have been there when I was younger and my husband was out of work or his work cut back. I used to bake my own bread to save money. I baked other things also. Always had a batch of cookies. Buying the large bag of flower and some yeast made a big difference. I didn't have to buy past or noodles I made my own. If a person knows how to do it they can really stretch
meals and the ingredients. But you know mac, those were some good years they seemed to bring families closer. Happy New Year to you and yours.
