A fading memory

You always said, "I love you so much."
But you never cared to show it.

You let me push you around,
like it was all too easy.
I said go,
You said stay.

It never meant anything,
Until the day came,
You found someone else.

You said you loved her now too
And we could no longer be,
Because of all that crazy drama
I had made.

Well, I'm learning
It's never too late,
To cast aside
All the hate, all the pain

For something even better,
self-worth.

That I never needed you,
Your fake ways,
The lust you tried to push upon me.

I was nothing more than a challenge
You had defeated.
Till you would face a new one,
Dealing with even more drama.

Now I'll leave you,
With nothing more than a memory.

Of just you and me.

And you become nothing more than
the one who stole my heart for just one day.

What do you think of this poem? Give me your honest opinion.
