I don't want to bloody the waters again
like the lawyer testing the waters
and falling to his death.
Empty
Hollow
Thud.
Accusing eyes and hypocritical smiles
have finally fled
and all that's left is fulfillment and loneliness,
and a quiet dormitory hallway.
Villains! Your search ends here.
Your want ends here.
This is home, battered soul.
I won't bloody the waters again,
I won't take it too far again,
but god how I want to kiss her again.
Author notes
There was a lawyer who fell to his death demonstrating the sturdiness of windows by banging on them (won a darwin award). That's the first stanza.

Love the last lines!
How you resolve not to do anything, but the desire takes you tehre anyway.
It's so true.
Like an Empty Hollow Thud.
