The distant light,
So reproached, the sight,
Rings damningly out in truth.
The waking willow
Wishes the scenes
Woven in nightly webs.
Until the dark
Precedes the day
The night forever mourns.
For dreams wither and fade
With daylight approach
And discards the healing air.
Author notes
This is about how people find solace in the fact that dreams are just dreams or how people wish they were real, so they can be exactly what people need.
