T'was the night before Christmas, and all through the net,
Not a poem was being wrote, nor the sound of a printers ink jet.
For contests and groups were being chosen with care,
In hopes of all the friends and points that people will find there.
Some poems are serious, some dark, and some are as crazy as the mad hatter,
But to all of us here at all poetry all the words matter.
Some poems are penned quick as a flash,
While some take time and can be brazen and brash.
And to what did my wondering eyes did appear,
greetings and salutations for all the new poets to be found here.
For either poems or stories it dosen't matter to us,
Write to your heats content, this much is a must.
Come and enjoy your new found family and friends,
For I can promise, a broken smile we can easily mend.
So come one and all and join the fun,
There is something here for everyone.
There are groups for any one of every age,
Contests by the dozens, page upon page.
So take your time, and you just might find buried treasure,
For I am sure you will find the reading a pleasure.
And I herd the greeters exclaim as they turned in for the night,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good write.
