Misunderstood

I didn't steal anything
So why am I in jail?
In with the murderers
And sent in with no bail?

It all started December
I was helping a man
He was a kind person
With presents in hand

He said "Hi, I'm Nick"
He gave a firm shake
"I wish I could stay
But there's a time I must make"

He said that he's running
Just a little bit late
To be in China by Seven
And Russia by Eight

He gave me a list
"You know these folk"
There's Ricky and Johnny
This is some kind of Joke

Nobody knows Glen
(Lives under my bed)
Yet heres his name
Saying "Pillow for head"

He pulled out his sack
Not that one you freak
Pulled out some toys
For the people I seek

These people live close
He said with a laugh
If you do this it will
Cut my time in half

So I delivered a few
The parents were glad
Except the ones sleeping
Those ones were mad

A few called the cops
There were upset I guess
But they put out a warrant
For my immediate arrest

Breaking and Entering
Theft of the toys
I don't want to bring harm
I want to bring joy

I stood trial that day
They all said I was nuts
No way I'm a good man
I'm a fool and a klutz

I've been here to long
And i've had enough
I won't go into detail
But my stockings been stuffed

What's that I hear
There's noise on the roof
I hear heavy breathing
And one stomping hoof

Could it be Nick?
He's busting me out?
I'm so excited
I wish I could shout

But I can't right now
For the warden will wake
So I must stay quite
For everyones sake

He left, no noise
I thought "What the hell?"
Then I see a chain
And on the end, a wide bell

"I'm getting you out"
The fat man did say
"I'm pulling down the wall
Get out of the way"

I stepped back a few feet
And to bittersweet delight
He let out a huge one
And pulled it down with his mite

I hopped on his sleigh
"We're wanted you know?"
"They can kiss my fat ass"
He wrote in the snow
