Once there was a day
A smile so common
A heart so warm
Until that day I met you.
There was a day
Were it was supposed to be
Me joining you
In holy matrimony
But why was it I was stood
Dressed and waiting
For your hand to join mine
Why was it, it never came
Running free, running away
Letting the gates open up
Letting the river flow away
I run far, I run fast
Now so tired, so weary
I fall upon the ground
With curled fists I scream
My heart so torn so broken
I cant take it any more
From my chest I rip
The heart that you dropped
The heart you let shatter
Letting a new red river flow
Staining pure white red
I sit and cry
Letting my heart wrench
A lovers song dying out
I take one last breath
Before i leave behind
A body lost when you left me there
Cold, dirty and broken
On the battle field I couldn't win
Unknown of being watched
From innocent green eyes
Mewling in fear
Shaking in cold
As it moves and curls upon me
Not knowing the heart had stopped
Not knowing I was no longer there.

Darkly enriching ~
The depth of imagery in this is fantastic and I like how you made the picture your own
I didn't understand why you didn't break up the fifth stanza with the rest all even but it doesn't matter
♥
Thank You & Best of Luck
Stay safe
