can you take my hand?
hold it as i, think of me and you
love is such a familar word but
i was not aware that it
could bring this feeling to my soul
as well as my heart.
dreams come like raindrops
each falling on my out streched hands
smiles come and go as rainbows do
because of you
each one is meaningful
because its unique
each one is bought by you
can you kiss my lips?
for a second, as i grasp your hand in return
imagine this world of me and you
a wedding band, our kids, a family
i thought i was destined to be alone
but through you, the future was shown
life is brighter each morning now
each night is spent dreaming of you
patience is thinning, i cant wait
to start my life with you
baby, do you hear my heart beat?
in time with your voice
in time with my choice
can you stand still?
for a moment, i want to remember you this way
the way i met you, the way my heart found yours
each second trickles like water off the trees
strengthening us, to the roots
its that time
for me to see why
each heart break was neccesary
if they had not left us
where would we be today?
can you hold me?
forever

this was a nice poem. i don't really understand the purpose of the double spacing followed by the single spaced stanzas. the only reason i can think of is that this is lyrics and the single spaced stuff is a chorus.
there were some grammar/spelling issues, but otherwise this was alright.
