Sticky Lips

As I look down
My
Eyes
See
This pretty little girl
That
Came
From
Me
She is like me
Quiet and meek
She gets puppy eyes
While she's begging for sweets
She mirrors
My eyes
My nose
My smile
She's persistant with "why's"
But her clothes and style
She gets from her dad
When she's not happy
I get sad
She fills my heart
With all those warm hugs and kisses
Sticky from candy
But my wish is
To keep her from harm
Every way I can
Give her values and morals
And be her best friend
When I'm old and grey
And bent at the hips
I'll still remember her
Sticky
Lips
