Black as my onyx heart and thick as tar,
Lashing and screaming, this thing is alive.
Thrashing upon me, smothering choking,
No! It’s part of me, it’s going inside!
Trembling and burning, I cannot move,
Reaching inside it rends open my soul.
My scream is strangled by mental laughter,
My fists wrench to obsidian talons of cold.
Ravenous with rage it rakes my mind,
Inside myself I cringe with distilled fear.
No wait, I’m wrong about his gift,
It’s all becoming so much more clear.
I’ve lost it all because of Parker,
It’s because of him I burn within.
I’m blessed with this new power,
And I’ll flense him limb from limb!
Distended jaws warp and roar with hate,
A vile sibilant tongue jerks and spasms.
“From now on we’re poison to you Spiderman,
That’s why we call ourselves…VENOM!”
Author notes
Because i despised how they did Venom in the spiderman 3 movie i really wanted to try and show Venom's true volcanic hatred. I understand though that if they portrayed venom properly they would have needed an adult certificate on the film.
Unfortunately my muse has decided to hold up on me. I wanted to do a suitably malicious and bloody minded poem but it ended up as the telling of the merge between the host and symbiote.
Anyways, hope it didn't suck too much.

Oh how I would have loved to seen this become sa full blown dark write from ya but then again I understand the muse holding ya back. anyw ays I love this write and how you really wrote this out too. the way you really described what was taking place was quite good. I remember in the cartoon series and also from the comic books and the comic cards I have of the Spiderman series how seriously evil and dark he wa.s I think carnage was the best hardest villian of them all ( I base that off the video games ) but needless to say I really love how Venom is portrayed through out. like yourself I was disappointed too but when we think about it as you wrote it they had to keep it within the realm of realism I guess and not slap Rated R rating to it which woulda been cooler. anyways awesome write as always and good luck in the contest bro and keep on writing
