I miss the simple things-
Laying on envious grass, ignoring the itch of the days priorities and the stains you didn't want to wash out. The sun in his eyes-in his hair-in his laugh-in his hands
-in your mouths- together.
Rolling, resting, talking, spending meaningful hours, in a meaningless sway; sprawled out in the shade, we spoke silently through our lashes. A tilted chin, a forehead kiss healed all the things you used to say on accident--the things you didn't used to mean.
Car rides to the same places- the same faces- the same words- the only ones we used to need. The tickling hands that held me until I laughed so hard I cried. You don't do that anymore, but they still fall.
I miss that.
I miss this.
I miss the days
when you
missed them
too.

I have to comment this one, because I've been reading your writings lately. I love the emotion you put into them. If I didn't know better,I'd think you were my ex. Your's and her's writing styles are very similar. Keep writing. I'd like to keep reading.

Wow. I didn't even realize I was relating to this now until I just read this.
Some relatioships just can't be replicated. Some chemistry just can't be recreated. So do we settle for second best?
