I thought she was just another fling
Another girl in the long list of names
But the year and a half we stopped talking
Something changed
And you proved me wrong
You fell in love with her
And even though you’re hers
And not mine
It’s the tears that stupidly fall
At times when you’re with her but should be with me
You say she makes you happy
You say you love her
And that you’re in love with her
So I smile and say I’m pleased and happy for you
But it’s after everything
All the times I cried because of you
And the one time you broke my heart
I still love you, and I still want you.
