My heart stopped
All my silent breath was captured within my chest
For one eternal moment, my being was still
My sensations contained
My thoughts arrested
My pulse restrained
This tender, unending, magical moment lasted for mere seconds
But to me, it was a lifetime of nothing
Of silence
Of light
Of pain
The next moment lasted even longer, held within my palm
For the next moment, my heart leapt into the sky
My spirit soared in abandon
My soul danced in triumph
My core burst to life
All my silent breath released in an explosion from my chest
And to me, it was a forever of life
Of elation
Of passion
Of ecstasy
And within these moments, all of existence was mine
My heart had stopped

Beautifully written. I like the way you structured your poem, and all the moments of parallelism. Good luck in the contest!

"But to me, it was a lifetime of nothing

This was simplistically beautiful. I really love how the title ties into and makes sense of the rest of the poem. Also, the wording you used was magnificent. So much power and feeling in one brief moment.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much for entering!
