tears you cry
hearts you pry
the love lost between us
the distance more and more spread
the flame is dying
put out by the tears we are crying
i watch the shadow on the wall
the flickering on the floor
do i still cast a shadow in your eyes
or am i only hollow
turn to the sun
look upon the ground
find your mark
reignite the spark
take my hand if your ready
i know it wont be easy
but we are whole on this night
and tonight, we take flight

I like the fact that this poem is well written it just doesn't read consistently. like one bit seems to be about something and then another bit kind of ties in but doesn't seem to be part of it. but it's probably because i'm tired and i'm reading it funny.
