Healing Waves

Yesterday's memories linger in velvet air

aching my eclipsed soul.

Love letters and movie tickets, surfacing feelings

that should be dissipating into nothingness.

Candy-floss colored teddy bears

hidden in cluttered cupboards,

diffusing faint scents of your cologne into this empty chamber.

The acid of your words, the bitterness of your actions

along with traces of your existence; stored in this carton box

that is soon to be released into drfting waves of forgotten memories.
