I peek my head out,
of my little enclosed heart,
smile tentatively.
you coax me out,
whisper gentle words and encouragements.
Catching me with your eyes
ensnaring me in your embrace.

Heat,
spreading from the inside,
to my fingertips
every
kiss
embrace
touch
simple glance.
Love, like a star
burning from the inside out.
Cozy like my fireplace
but dangerous like a wildfire.

It's not fair
that I can't have you.
