As other young men surround me,
I drift into thought as I go off to war.
Others are intrigued by the Generals speech,
I am lost and cannot think anymore.
I want to cry,
but I am a 'man',
no more a young boy.
Oh if the world was peacable,
why?
They become sweaty, my hands.
I am needing a hug, but can't,
remember? I am supposed to be a man.
I can't run, I can't hide.
I must go off to war,
with my friend by my side.
Its either live or die,
for my country
and for my life.
I go off to war,
to live like an eagle and soar.
