Paper Hopes

Crackled feather descends
Sculpting rust routes
on tapered grounds
Swaying through summer winds
-snowflakes in September-

With the fall of this leaf
A new day had begun..

This landing promised growth
Giving birth to a new tree

[to new beginnings]

Definately colouring well outside the lines here, barely to do with the prompt but definately a beautiful interpretation. Best to you in the contest

Lovely poem, however, beginning with "with the fall of this leaf..." This soars, beyond poetic and takes upon itself, a profound weight. Beginnings, from death they spring! Incredible finish! Bravo! Geo
