Snow Flakes And Realizations

Whirling eddies of the purest snowflakes
In each flake a memory instill
In each memory a journey taken
But as I stand amongst the silence and cold
I am not alone in my reflections
You are here before me
Your eyes boring into my soul with answers
To all the questions I ask of you
Your hands holding mine with warmth
To keep my trembling fingers from hesitating
Your lips dance just before mine with temptation
To keep the shy innocence in me from hiding
Your body stands against mine
To answer the thrill and eagerness I find with your presence
I long to be like this forever more
With none such fear as loneliness again
Your intelligence answers my stupidity with a clear calm
Even such dull questions draw out an interest and entertained self from you
You find me amusing in a sweet, satisfactory way
Like an adult looking on a child
But you look at me so much more than a child now
With some intensity I've rarely felt
I quiver before you, adrenaline pumping for you
Your lips close in, a faerie's length away now
Your hot breath fans my heated lips
I can hardly hold still though you've wished it so
"Hold still," You'd said. "I want to try something."
Now we've stood for minutes seemingly as years
And you've merely looked and studied me
Played with my hair, eyes dancing glances at mine
Then suddenly a brush, your lips touched mine then drawn back
A shudder ripples through me
A laugh through you
"So curious," Your thumb traces where your lips had been
"So eager, and entertaining." A smooth darkness sweeps into your eyes
And you finish with a truth you rather fear and embrace than shy from any longer
"As have I too become such for you. So dangerously eager that it frightens me so."
Your lips sweep into mine finally
The snow flakes melt around us till rain bounces off our bond
The memories all melted away as they no longer matter
What was past is past and we are here
In the now
And I
Love you

Author notes

Some day I'll have someone like this, and we'll do so each time it snows.
