Starlit Lake Side Night Tanka Chain

Missing image

starlit lakeside night
evening sky wrapped in velvet
Cassiopeia
reflected on still water
owl-light merging into dusk

the hours passing

we two lost in dancing flames

little need for words

your eyes shine like shooting stars

and time for that one night stopped

all that glitters now

  reflects in Cassiopias crown

as Draco rises

the constallations revolve

complete the tales of ages past

The lake now gentled

starlight bathed in perfection

flawlessly mirror

 the vaulted heavens above

to the inky depths below .

This is so beautifully expressed. The beauty that is all around us...that nature gives us with open arms...and the hopes of love...shine throughout this poem. Bravo Sis!
