Snowy Memories

SNOWY MEMORIES

It snowed again today, it made me sad,
I started missing you.
Remembering all our fun and tears,
and the things we use to do.

Walks to school, through drifts of snow,
stacked high above our heads.
Icicles dangling from branches,
so bare trees looked dead.

I miss the angels, we made in the snow,
rides on red wooden sled.
Hats and gloves, not even scarfs,
kept our nose from getting red.

Snowman we made , so huge and tall,
looking so very round.
I remember it took all winter,
to melt into the ground.

Now days are starting to get longer,
winter must be almost done.
it is time for rain and flowers,
I still miss our springtime fun.

I miss you no matter what the season,
I'd bring you back if I could.
My life goes on without you,
How I  miss you my childhood.

    Superb plus

A very fine write, as usual, from your most talented pen. Imagery; rhythm and rhyme are just fine. Thanks for sharing.

Ah, memories. A lovely story you penned here. Makes me feel at least 20 to 25 years younger. Good one, Auntie Sandy.

    Icould feel the cold snow

that sliped in past out shoes and the cold feet that took warm up for hours. For mine I keep hot cocoa a waiting on the stove. All the fun they had as they slid down the hill. the stash of mittens and hats, for a dry warm pair every time...mac
