Good evening:
As I add honey to my tea and slowly sip, I throw another log on the fire .It gently warms the room having a calming effect on me. I yawn, look out the window next to me and see the frozen field. Just passed the dancing cattails are a series of gorgeous snowdrifts. Cut with the precision of an artist winding in and out, up and down. A bit farther out a tree line then a small creek and over the creek the woods. All is dusted with an icy coating that’s glowing in the moonlight. Everything’s quiet, the squirrels, the deer, the geese all down for the night, In observance of this special occasion this Christmas Eve. Calm; no hustle or bustle, a night for family and reflection a time to give thanks. We all have something to be thankful for; friends, family, health, happiness or the warmth of this fire and a hot cup of tea. Alone tonight I ponder what I have, the love I’ve shared, the friends that I have met and the beauty that surrounds me, the simple splendor that I see every day. It’s not the fire nor is it the tea that warms my heart tonight. But the harmony of all that surrounds me here, of all that I am a part of. I give thanks to all who have touched my life and made it worth living. To everyone I know. I wish you all the joy, love and happiness that I have felt. Tidings of great cheer and the feeling of love, you have all given me. Thank you to one and all, Have Merry Christmas
