We have shared something few people find
It's, perhaps what comes for soul's to remind,
true heart's feelings on life's ruthless seas.
Spoon drift mist crossing ship decks billow breeze
or summer winds blow soothing through forest trees.
We often look to others for years to see,
still unsure what it is they mean to be.
Then, rarely there are those special few,
who, the day you met, you already knew,
their feelings would become part of you.
Maybe in certain times of human need,
God cross's your paths, for hearts to bleed.
Where, for dealing with sorrows wounds of pain,
troubles faced alone, struggles lost in vane,
we find friendship without interest of gain.
To have someone reach out their hand
to help embrace hope with faith to understand;
after which, perhaps we have served our purpose,
or, then again, only scratched the surface
on how to navigate life's finite circus.
I don't know what life will bring.
I do know when I hear an angel sing.
In their tune comes a blessing too
played in heaven's calliope songs to do
like the melody I hear knowing you.
Eyes as blue as mid summer skies
golden tears from a soul that cries
on compassion's wings spirits soar
I hold your friendship in great rapport,
my respect could expect nothing more.
From now on when I look up high
and see soft cotton patch clouds in the sky,
I'll think of you, when your too tired to fly
and them as floating pillows passing by,
where you lay to rest those pretty blue angel eyes.

Soothing

Wow this poem is just so heartwarming about friendship that is for sure. So lucky the both of you are to have this kind of a relationship...Through the ups and downs in life, heartbreak and sorrows.
To bring encouragement with loving compassion and comfort to one another is what friendship is all about I think. Just like you wrote in this beautiful poem.
