Intoxicated

I feel the wine red sunset
that most quiet part of the day
that seems to take all of the fading light
and intensify it
elevating my spirit
calling me to a journey of healing.

An intoxicated spirit flying alone, serene
...and though alone...not lonely
Your words light a flame inside me
inside this simple, ordinary soul
Inspired by the wind of your divine spirit
I drink you in, in this moment, in this hour
I am happy to be
just  to be
intoxicated.

Flowing, like the wine red sunset
I follow the light to the bank of a great river
to dip-just a fingertip
and am awed by the sensation.
I follow the song in the wind
becoming mesmerized by the sound
my soul vibrates with the beauty
my physical form cannot contain
...or even name.

I sense the stretching of my being and
I am filled with joy
in the single, perfect moment of...
almost...
reaching
Him.

The most spiritual moments for me are in the light of the sun or the moon. I feel in tune with earth and universe, a small being, yes, but still a part of this great life. You have put all of this into your poem and it is magical. YOU are magical with your pen and heart, my friend.

    Love, L xoxox

    inspired

I love the visual imagery. I am a big fan of experimentation of method when it comes to poems and imagery I often find can be ellusive. But great poem.

This is beautiful, as the joy from your heart flows here so easily.
I could ramble, but that would take away from what you have written here.
