Frosty mornings, pretty skies
Winter's calling, on sleepy eyes
Chimneys - smokeless; streets are dead
Crows grow restless in frosted beds
Warming greetings, sad goodbyes
Sacred meetings for you and I
The present's frozen...Warmth tomorrow;
The past, a furnace of war and sorrow
The sky is burning, frozen too
The sun is turning red to blue
The light has risen, streets aglow
This rain encrusted roadside show

This is an interesting take on the prompt, such a vivid image your words create. This is good.

Outstanding.
I really liked the imagery you chose in this poem- especially in the last stanza. The language is well chosen and you have created a poem that is very visual. Fantastic to read. Best of luck in the contest
