Like a starfish, washed up onto the shore
I gasp for breath, praying for redemption
[I wait], because I cannot find my way back on my own
I’m lost on this hot dry sand, waiting for the tide to come in
Searching for a kind heart, to give me back my life,
before it’s too late, and put me back in the vast ocean
Where heart[s] are free and pain does not exist

woah.
this poem is so vivid.
it has a sad begining
and ends with happiness.

Brings to mind the story of a man who came upon another man on a beach covered with starfish. He was tossing them back out and the one guy said to him
"Why bother, you can't save them all, it doesn't matter anyway"
To which he replied as he tossed out another,
"It matters to this one..."

Ah girl, isn't your September Faith working through December? This is such a sad poem, but yet you managed to leave room for a happy end, on the shore

Sadness comes in so many ways, heartaches, loneliness, lost love, 'saudade', but it isn't a permanent condition, not if we do our best to send it away.
I'm sure the starfish will find the hand it looks for

lol... no I guess september faith just works in september

Thank you for your kind comment. Life is tough.. that is all I can say... we just have to go with the tide and hope that one day... we'll be free.
xoxo,
