Monsters cradle violence desperately,
in a world suffering starless despair.
Terror submerged in blame
as judgement shatters humanity.
Have we forgotten who we are
in the depths of our self-righteous swell?
Potent vengence from almighty,
or be it pompus ignorance?
Jaded devotion has left me in question
to believe His love holds limits,
that faith bares hate.
Heavy demoralization clutches heaving breath;
a devastating anchor drags down my heart.
Tell me, will we ever learn?

Aloha and Welcome...
Your words are beautiful, your theme, however is fairly common...In PO we really look for unique...REALLY unique..not just the words...the theme itself...Also ...In my opinion...and remember...I AM human...and only one judge...you went poetry to prose..like writing...I think it's the questions I'm not fond of...
Monsters cradle violence desperately
in a world suffering starless despair
terror submerged in blame
I would take out "in a"....again...just my opinion!
Thanks so much for your entry! Best wishes in the contest.
Write on!

REMEMBER: NO editing once a judge has commented!
My scores will appear in final notes…
