The Beautiful Rose

The beauty of the stained glass rose compared to no other.
The light once made it glow and the illumination caused a heavenly effect.
The rose was beauty.
The rose was shattered by a simple stone.
The beauty is gone.
Each day the stained glass is replaced.
Each day the stone is cast that destroys this work of art.
And so the cycle has continued.
Day by day month by month.
There is no more heavenly effect.
There is no more glowing beauty.
The light rarely shines and picking up the pieces is all there is to do.
Eventually I may grow weary of replacing the window and simply board it up.
Or maybe I can catch the one who casts the stone.
The only certainty is that the beauty of the rose is gone,
and only god knows what will takes its place.

This is such a wonderful piece you have written here. Some things can never be replaced no matter how hard we try. Thank you so much for sharing.

    I loved it!

it really explains the battle of loving something so much and trying your hardest to hold on to something, but eventually you have to let go and leave it up to fate.

This is sad but it's different from your writes before. I like how you talked about the rose and related it to human feelings, when things/people are lost.
Welcome back, my friend. Been missing you alot, hope you're well and back to stay.

    Much love
