Written off to paper (Tanka)

Solitary tree,
of the millions that once were;
of man's own doing.

Earths oldest monument stands,
cherished, books final chapter.

    A very nice take on the picture I like that someone took their write in this direction. "Earth's oldest monument" I love that phrase! Thanks for entering and best wishes in the contest

      Good morning TwilightDazzels, I appreciate your wonderful thoughts and applauses! The world of nature is our home and if we don't respect and take care of it, then sadly it could come down to only a few things to cherish and try to hold onto. Have a beautiful day, Ken IBT

    That's a thought-provoking write.
    Yes, a large number of trees have been cut and are being cut.

    But hope to always see a good amount of trees and natural beauty around.

    Good luck in the contest.

      Good morning Harrisham, I recently heard on a radio talk show how many billions of trees there were on Earth. Though after a calculation of how many people were on earth also, it saddened me to know there is only approximately 65-68 trees per person. Not a very good number if you really think about it. Glad you enjoyed this. I appreciate your thoughts and applauses always. Thank you and have a beautiful day, Ken IBT
