The Cellar Door, (fiction -- 101 words)

"Two years ago, my father fell down the stairs and died in the cellar." Bubbles told the door-to-door salesman who stood uninvited, on her welcome mat.

Pointing to the cellar, she continued, “I can still hear him sometimes, begging and pleading for my help.”

Suddenly there was a strident shout that emanated from the basement,"Please Bubbles, I need help!"

The saleman's eyes grew large and his knees nearly buckled. Without saying another word, he turned and stumbled toward his automobile.

"Bubbles, hurry up with that wrench!" her father again yelled.

"Coming daddy," Bubbles replied, and skipped innocently toward the cellar door.

My last Bubbles story had her at sixteen, not as nutty, more emo. I really should get her into college and or work now. Could be some fun stuff there. Thanks!

Bubbles is my hero. * grin* She's quite an imp, isn't she? lol

With an election day on the horizon I just might borrow this tactic to scare away unwanted political canvassers.

Very funny piece, Jose. I guess I have to send you a point for this one.
