Who's this girl no one knows?
Why does she laugh at the most silly things you've ever heard?
Why does she cry at the slightest pinch to her ego?
She just blends in for now
& no one sees her
She expects them to
So she gets ready...
they didn't even notice the new look.
If they could just see her
they would see a
funny
sweet
caring
giggly young girl
But...
She finally realizes 'why bother?'
& accepts the fact that she's exactly what they all call her:
Mediocre

Aw this was so sad but can be true about some people: some people only see themselves for what other people see them as. In my opinion every has something beautiful about them. Thank you for this thought provoking piece. Jane

This was great!
I really found myself relating to this, even though I don't think I've been called "mediocre". I was compared once as being vanilla ice cream, which I knew meant that I was bland, and that always ate at me too. There was emotion underneath the seeps through, and I really liked it. I hope you did/do well in the contest.

I really like it!
It reminds me of myself and how people perceive me.
