the first time she met his molten gaze
her heart was heavy in a love sick daze
she felt, for him, her hot blood fleeting
when they came upon that first sensual meeting
a hug, a kiss, or an evening of passion
she was always ravished by his strength and compassion
he could hold her soft or grip her with vigor
he always held quick to what he knew was her trigger
she fought her demons and was safe in his arms
fate had brought them together without tricks and charms
until it came to one night she could hardly handle:
the sultry escape by the light of a candle
she felt he possessed her, she felt she was free
she needed to escape but she was where she should be
her heartbeat quickened and was simultaneously slow
only true love could make her body pulse so
they could talk for hours or sit in silence content
both so spirited at the others taste, feeling and scent
the only answer to such need and desire
was a quenching of needs fueled like fire

I really liked this. it was a really imagery impacted poem, but I asked for only 20 lines, and you went over by at least 16 lines, so I will give you time to shorten it if you would like to, if not then I will have to DQ you. I'm sorry.. Thank you very much for sharing.. Best of luck in the contest.
