Looking outward
Streetlamps illuminate raindrops
Lightning shatters
Thunder takes its toll
Shivering, Shaking
wetness splashing against my body
Cold, Damp
smells whip my senses into overload
Beauty unseen
Tears stream, unbeknownst to me.
Streetlamps illuminate raindrops
Lightning shatters
Thunder takes its toll
Shivering, Shaking
wetness splashing against my body
Cold, Damp
smells whip my senses into overload
Beauty unseen
Tears stream, unbeknownst to me.
Author notes
I was on break at work, and watching the raindrops through the illumination of the streetlights, and erie peace came over me....I just wished I could have gone out there and ran through the rain....but I had to go back into harshly illuminated lights.

rain at night is so inspiring. Maybe it's the way darkness allows our other senses to entertained. I really enjoyed this.

I love this! It is raining and flooding overhere so I can really relate to this piece. I love your imagery here and yes, sometimes it is such a great getaway to just run around in the rain. Lovely work here my friend! Good luck!

I love this...the sheer glory of creation leaves you in tears...tears so pure that you are not at first even aware that they are falling.
The format is intreresting...it places emphasis on the adjectives you've chosen, causing the reader to FEEL the images you create.
