She cant remember my name anymore
although I go to visit every week
Alzeimers has taken control
please sign here says the man in white at the door
He lets me in and resets the alarm
Its only a short walk before I arrive
Hello Nana I say,
She stares blankly into space
I take her hand in mine and tell her about my day
its ever so cold outside I tell her
Christmas is just around the corner
we've chosen a tree
Nana says nothing
her face almost emotionless
but her eyes twinkle
and its this little glimmer of hope
that makes my day and keeps me going
Its her smile within her frown

That's So Sad...
I know how hard this is..my aunt for 5 years was in a coma, before that, in major depression, I always looked for the bright side, but if I'm totally honest, I never seen one.. My heart goes out to you and yours. I admire your efforts. Love your brother Timothy
