Fear the Silence

Silence
It gives even the most proud a terrible fear
So heavy it hangs over them
Consuming... haunting
Till they beg the nothingness for escape

But no answer ever comes
For there is nothing there

That is what is most frightening of all
The silence and the emptiness
Being alone with nothing but your own voice and thoughts
To fill the void until you go insane
But perhaps you were already crazy?
Who knows?

You don't think it would be frightening?
Think about it
Being locked up in a white room with no doors or windows
Soundproof and empty
How long will you last?
They say you can go deaf in the silence
Shall we find out if its true?
