Snow Storm

Missing image

They bear the snowfall

and wonder if this is the

last hour of their lives...

Author notes

I really feel for the poor frozen horse. Personally, I'd give him a warm stall and blanket right now, if I could. Central Park snow storm photo by Galina Dreyzina.

"My little horse must think it queer,
to stop without a farm house near."
~ Robert Frost

They don't understand why they should be out in weather like that.

      I like that...

I don't think I've read that quote by Robert Frost before. I think I'll add it to my author's notes. Thanks!!

Yes, poor old horse! You can see by the way he is just trudging along, head down, that he'd much rather be in a warm stall. Lovely haiku!

      Thank You, John...

When I saw this photo, I just cringed. The poor old horse is frozen and tired, you can see the ice hanging off his body. I suppose people didn't have much choice of transportation in the old days... But this scene just makes my heart cry for the suffering animals, especially in the winter time. Thanks again for stopping by to read my work today. Take care and keep it flowing there... Peace & hugs always, xx Cyn xx

Poor old horse - fortunately they have all sorts of hair and hide to feel the cold much less than we do. Nice little gem that tugs the heart!!

Beautiful work Sis! The only thing is where the words are on the side it is harder to read with the cloud whisps. Maybe if you centered it it would work much better! I miss the snow, and I doubt we are going to have any here in Ga, since its going to be a balmy low 70's today! Middle of December!! I cant get over this. I may not be online for awhile, as we have tornado watches all day, and are expecting lots of rain. So this means I am going to unplug my computer aw well, I guess that means I can get some cleaning done before work tonight! Beautiful job though! and I love the picture!

is this better? I added a note too, to help explain my meaning... It snowed here last night, believe it or not... but it's all melted away today... Take care and stay safe through the storm!!

Yes! Its much better! Lucky about the snow, we havent had any...probably wont get any either! We had a Tornado watch and the sirens went off awhile ago! I am a little worried, but so far everything is just alot of rain and wind.
