Little Sins

Haunting the halls of heaven,
hedonism flaming from their tongues,
they are temptation incontrovertible.
Little sins, littler lies, gross misconducts
weeping out of eyes that flare lies.
Damned to the inner circle of hell by
their determination to eat the tongues
of saints, to destroy universes.
Little lacks of conscience, bitterly bitten
by teeth that rend the very soul from one.
Only purity keeps them at bay . . .
and there is no purity here.

    Hoodwinked!

I think that sometimes people don't think that all the little things add up to something big...

A little lie can't be as big as a big lie.
But if it kept them outside of the pearly gates, would they change their ways?

You've created an interesting thought for one to ponder in this piece.
