Graduation Poem

Our last first day
We couldn't believe it was real
and now 10 months later
this is how we feel
As we look back
on the good memories and the bad
we won't ever forget the memories
or the moments we had

Made through the years
now we step out on our own
we thank our families and teachers
for all the things they have shown
the guidance you have given
a kind and gentle hand
all the time and energy spent with us
we are now grateful and understand
that even when we didn't agree
what you did for us was right
you were guiding us in the right direction
and you didn't give up the fight
its time to go out separate ways
but no matter the places we see
we will never forget the sacrifices made
to help us be everything that we can be

Our friends were there
when we wouldnt let anyone else
come into out lives
even when they just wanted to help
even though we say goodbye
this isn't really when it ends
i mean with facebook and the internet
we will still talk and remain friends
we may drift apart after awhile
we accept that to be true
but the point is we can stay in touch
graduation doesn't mean we have to start anew
