Words,
That disappear,
From memory,
Often are,
The ones,
That meant something,
Meant something good,
Words of love,
Of friendship,
Often are the one's that,
Get lost,
In the flury of things,
Words that actually matter,
Are far too often forgotten.
The words,
That stick out,
In our mind,
That are burned,
So painfully,
Into our thoughts,
Are the ones,
Said by,
People,
Who mean to hurt you,
Who like to see you suffer,
Who enjoy every tear you cry.
The words remembered,
Are the ones,
Not meant to be,
And,
The words lost,
Are the ones,
That WERE meant to be.
Words of wisdom,
Wash away with each current,
Words of hatred,
Are washed in with each wave.

wow - so true. It seems like we remember the hurtful words the most - and you're right, the ones that should mean the most, get lost somewhere....
Nicely said!

Great write, it really had a heavy, soulful beat to it. There was a time or two when it was a little awkward, however, it was incredibly creative, vibrant and involving.
It is so true that what we reminisce upon most is often remembered in shame, and we forget what really matters.
Best of luck,
♥.
