Thoughts and indistinct images,
fictile possibilities,
float in the sky, sustained,
waiting to condense into
quenching drops of rain.

Relief,
and Understanding.
I hope you gained such from writing it as I have gained reading it.
Beautiful, I am very glad you finished it for the contest, I enjoyed it so very much. I am a sucker for short poetry that packs a punch, and, it certainly 'kicked my ass' for lack of a better phrase.
I'd wish you luck, but your poem speaks wonders.
