when the world hears through their ears

you who know nothing
expect everything in your life to go perfect
you have all the powers of your senses at your side
imagine one day out of the blue
you lose that one vital senses
your hearing
imagine you're like a deaf person
would you miss the sound?
or would you rather take a liking to silence
would you miss hearing your family, friends, even the most important news
you're in your own silent blocked world
where the only thing you'd hear is yourself
would you then miss your hearing back
can you or will understand what it's like to be deaf
the deaf community has their pride and identity
but they face injustice everyday
they are looked at as dumb
but i think they're strong
will you then understand this unique community as individuals like us
or would you block your ears and pretend you're the only person in this world
