lights twinkle in your eyes
as the world becomes a kaleidoscope
colors dart and cross your face
and you twirl your umbrella- red and
white and green and yellow
with your sheepish grin
and soft eyes.
i catch your Polaroid laugh
in my head, and tuck it away in my heart.
for a second as the world
stumbles into twilight darkness,
i lock my gaze with yours
and your camera catches my smile.
