Just about went broke on the last gas hicke,
so I got to thinking about making me some form of byke.
Ane that was peddle power like a ten speed,
and I drew me up some plans indeed .
I took an old volkswagon body and cut out the back seat,
got me a look at the old ten speed and with finger in cheek .
I enlarged those discs and placed them just so,
to make my new pedal powered vehicle go .
Well everyone laughed at me and said it cant be done,
but I believed in my contraption and yes it was the only one .
It had an extra set of pedals should a rider join me there,
for he also did some pedaling if he wanted to get somewhere .
I painted that sucker the brightest yellow indeed ,
and got myself a huge antenna for my cobra cb .
and with the battery in the back for my lights and horn,
it was the ultimate free vehicle that was ever born.
There werent no steering wheel handle bars were replaced,
and sure enough just like the ten speed bike that sucker had brakes.
Quiet as a mouse I was and believe you me,
with the money I saved on gas I was mighty pleased .
You work out and get out at the same time,
not a day passed that I wasnt pedaling mine.
Think about it and tell me which would you rather see,
a vehicle that robs you blind or a free pedaling machine .

A very amusing piece of pedal-powered poetry! I enjoyed the creatively thought-out details of how such a contraption would work, the features it might have, and what being a "driver" and a "passenger" might entail…
The rhyming flowed well. Since you didn’t always stick to strict rhyme, I just flowed with the words (not realized until later you used an a-a-b-b rhyme scheme throughout all your stanzas). I liked that touch, how the rhymes felt natural.
Congrats on the HM.

Good idea, have you considered exporting? A real fun write and money making invention, that can't be bad. Well done
