Ayeka-An Outward Perspective

The bright sun is shining in the sky
And the luminescent yellow leaves are falling
But it was a beautiful day long before this moment
When I saw your sparkling eyes

Strolling down the sidewalk today
I don't care if you're upset
I want to hold you close to my heart
And to see you smile again

Ayeka please tell me why
Why were you away for such a long time?
Was it because I did something wrong?

Seeing you in the distance among the freshly blooming flowers
I do not know if you know who I am
But maybe I will gaze into your eyes one day
And even hold your hand

Ayeka I want to know you well
Maybe I just don't know what to do
All I want to say to you
I just care for who you are

Ayeka please tell me what
Has darkened your blue eyes
I'd like to see them bright again

Somehow I know this is incomplete
But I cant stop feeling the way I do
So now I'll talk to you when corduality permits
Enjoying every moment beside you

Hey nice write here. You sort of captured my whole last year at college. The sidewalks, the cute crush girl, the awkward anticipation of seeing them and wanting to say something...

That's an interesting name though. Did you choose it for the poem or is that the guy or girl's name in real life? Either way it was very nice read.

Thanks for entering and best of luck in the contest!

The name and story is actually a derivative from an anime series. Search up anything related to "tenchi" and you'll find this girl's name and image.
