Holy Mary, gentle mother
Blessed Virgin, pray with us
Christmas once meant more than this
We loved your son; "In Him we trust"
But worldly things have taken hold
And suddenly Christmas is not for Christ
Loving mother, help us see
That Jesus's birth was a gift without price
Christmas was, for you, your life
For you trusted so deeply in the Lord
That he entrusted his Son to you
Such devotion few now can afford
None can imagine how you felt
As the angel Gabriel spoke to you
Grant us your courage, dearest Mary
Help Christ's Mass once more shine through

This is a great poem. It is interesting that we now use the birth of Christ as a gift giving now instead of a celebration of life as it should be.

nicely done. It makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time

I was told once that on his birthday do you feel blessed from what you have given throughout the year and if you can answer yes then you are truly blessed for I feel everyday a new day as it is truly is his birthday in my heart and mind for every child born will we bring this love to the children and grace him with our love
